80 PLUS Platinum certification
The ROG Thor 1200W Platinum III incorporates gallium nitride (GaN) MOSFETs, offering up to 30% greater energy efficiency than traditional MOSFETs. This technology provides better internal organisation and optimised heat dissipation. Thanks to the use of low ESR Japanese capacitors, the power supply achieves 92% efficiency at 50% load, earning it 80 PLUS Platinum certification.
Advanced cooling
To ensure efficient cooling, the PSU is equipped with ROG heat sinks and a double ball-bearing fan, ensuring a service life of up to 80,000 hours. 0dB technology allows the fan to shut down completely when the load is less than 30%, ensuring quiet operation for less demanding tasks.
Innovative features
The ROG Thor 1200W Platinum III offers unique features such as a removable magnetic OLED display, providing a real-time readout of power consumption. The 'GPU-First' mode optimises voltage stability for graphics cards, improving performance during intensive gaming sessions. In addition, the power supply is ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compatible, ensuring compatibility with next-generation components.
