The ICY DOCK ExpressSlot Elite MB842M5P-B controller card transforms a PCIe 8x/16x expansion slot into two removable NVMe M.2 drive bays, allowing you to swap NVMe M.2 SSDs without having to open the computer case. The MB842M5P-B is designed to take advantage of the power of PCIe 5.0, offering transfer speeds of up to 128 Gbps - double the bandwidth of PCIe 4.0 (64 Gbps) and more than 20 times faster than SATA (6 Gbps).
Designed for PCIe 5.0, 4.0 and 3.0 x8/x16 slots, this ultra-fast NVMe solution ensures maximum flexibility for enterprise workstations, high-performance computing, AI training and data-intensive applications. Using direct PCIe connectivity, it eliminates slowdowns, reduces cable clutter and delivers ultra-low latency storage performance for next-generation workloads.
Thanks to ICY DOCK's innovative tool-less design, installing or replacing an M.2 NVMe SSD takes less than five seconds, eliminating the frustration of handling small screws. This state-of-the-art mechanism ensures a seamless and efficient drive maintenance workflow. The removable M.2 NVMe SSD tray (MB840TP-B) supports standard M.2 sizes including 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110, ensuring maximum SSD compatibility.
