The first time I saw the hard drives I was impressed by the physical volume. It's quite imposing. After all, they're 8TB and I think that justifies the price of the enterprise series. I already had an initial set of 6 hard drives on my Synology DS1621+ NAS and I've never had any problems. Thanks Synology. And thank you LDLC for the speed of shipping to Polynesia.
The delivery went well because the SYNOLOGY disks were well packaged. Once installed, they worked without a hitch. They are of very good quality and hardly heat up at all. The TOP!
These Synology disks are manufactured by Toshiba and are in fact N300s, which are cheaper to buy.
The advantage is that any drive updates are built into the DSM, so they're easy to do, which is not the case with the Toshiba drives.
On the other hand, these disks are fast and come with a 5-year guarantee, compared with 3 for the N300.
The same applies to SAS interface drives.
