The 92mm NF-B9 fan supplied with the NH-L12 Ghost S1 Edition is PWM-compatible for automatic speed control via the motherboard and thus offers real comfort: maximum performance when the CPU is under load and almost absolute silence when not! In addition, and for those who want even more silence, the maximum speed can be reduced from 1600 to 1300 rpm by using the supplied low noise adapter.
This cooler is compatible with Intel LGA115x (LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156), LGA1200, LGA20xx (LGA2066, LGA2011-0, LGA2011-3) and AMD (AM4, AM3(+), AM2(+),FM2(+) and FM1) processors The SecuFirm2 system included in the S1 is easy to install, ensures perfect contact pressure and will stand the test of time.
Thanks to Noctua's modular SecuFirm system, the NH-L12 can be made compatible with the older LGA1366 and LGA775 sockets by using the optional NM-I3 mounting kit, provided free of charge by Noctua. If technically feasible, Noctua will also provide adapter kits for future sockets to ensure that the NH-L12 remains a sound long-term investment.

I bought Noctua for the quality and I must admit I was disappointed.
The product itself works very well but the rigidity of the top plate is catastrophic, only the heatpipe tubes hold it together.
The fan sucks the air through the fins.
