TheICY DOCK ToughArmor MB872MP-B supports 12 x 30mm to 110mm M.2 SATA SSDs (2230 / 2242 / 2260 / 2280 / 22110) in a single 5.25" bay. It uses 3 high-speed OCuLink connectors (SFF-8612) on the rear to support twelve M.2 SATA SSDs with a transfer rate of 6 Gb/s per drive while reducing cable clutter for optimal system airflow and easy cable management. The removable drive tray design with an innovative adjustable M.2 tray allows M.2 drives to be swapped without the use of tools or screws.

State of the Art Tool-Free Hard Drive Installation
The ToughArmor MB872MP-B features a patent-pending adjustable M.2 enclosure for tool-free drive installation/removal. Simply insert the M.2 SATA SSD (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110), move the adjustable M.2 enclosure until it firmly secures the SSD and closes the lid. The entire process takes less than 10 seconds, saving you time and resources.
Anchoring your M.2 SSD is essential, as swapping drives without proper anchoring can result in hardware damage due to static shock. With ICY DOCK's innovative EMI anchoring technology, once the M.2 enclosure clips into the screw hole of the SSD, the SSD will be anchored throughout the enclosure's tray and case. Once the enclosure is installed in the system with four screws on the side, it is anchored throughout the system.
The LED status indicator in each of the trays gives you information on the current status at a glance. With Active Power technology, the case lights up when discs are inserted and shuts down automatically when all discs are removed.
Real performance and efficient cooling
The ToughArmor MB872MP-B's platter is made of thick aluminium and acts as a heat sink to dissipate the heat generated by the M.2 SATA SSDs. In addition, the use of 3 OCuLink cables instead of 12 SATA cables reduces cable clutter and improves airflow through the system.
The included thermal pad fills the space of the contact surfaces and transfers the heat from the M.2 SSDs to the huge heat sink tray, allowing the airflow to dissipate the heat efficiently.
Running twelve SSDs at the same time can build up heat. That's why ICY DOCK has included a 40mm cooling fan with a three-mode fan speed control. This fan ensures good air circulation. Depending on your needs, select the appropriate fan speed to keep the temperature at a good level to enjoy optimal performance even under heavy load.
