Space saving: Designed for the use of 2.5" disks, the MB992SK-B is ideal for industrial PCs, small business servers, home servers, and mobile surveillance systems. The ability to house two SATA SSDs or mechanical drives in a single 3.5" array makes this device a valuable asset, as it opens the doors to RAID storage, whether for backup or performance. To avoid cable clutter, the MB992SK-B has a single 15-pin SATA power connector, which also makes installation easier. Unparalleled Versatility: The MB992SK-B is packed with features. It is equipped with an LED on the front panel that indicates the status of the drive at all times. Active Power Technology (APT) ensures that the LED only lights up when a drive is present in the enclosure, not when the unit is powered up and empty. On the security side, the Eagle-Hook mechanism locks the disc trays in place to prevent the disc from being ejected by mistake, and in addition the unit has a 2-segment lock to protect discs from theft.
The all-new EZ Slide Micro drawers facilitate disc interchangeability and maintenance. They are designed to accommodate drives between 7mm and 9.5mm thick, and turn the MB992SK-B into a 2.5" SSD or mechanical drive hot-swap bay.
