I don't go over 60 when I play, it's great and doesn't make any noise at all, and that's great. It doesn't take up any space unlike my previous ventirad which took up a lot of space and I had to remove the proc to add ram which is not the case anymore. The price is correct.
The manual is not very intuitive though and it doesn't explain how to change the fan speed.

This ventirad is to be avoided, for several reasons.
- The packaging was not good, the ventirad was not locked inside the box and moved around when unpacked.
- One of the four pins to seal the ventirad to the motherboard via the back-plate was missing, as were half of the screws stated on the instructions, which I had to replace with screws I had in stock.
- The holes in the back-plate are random. They just don't match the holes on two different asus motherboards (mine a rog strix B550-F) and a buddy's ( TUF gaming B550), so I had to bend part of the backplate to get it in place.
- the infinity mirror completely scratched. Did I receive a model that was already used for the exhibition? In any case, the infinity mirror on top of the ventirad that gives the illusion of having an infinite number of RGB circles was completely scratched. I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but I'm sure it's a good idea if you're not sure what to do about it. I'm sure it's a good idea if you're not sure what to do about it.
- The performance is really not great. It's far from the efficiency announced, even at high rpm.
- No connection for the RGB. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use the asus motherboard's superb aura-sync RGB system, but you need an extra cable, which is not included, so you'll have to buy an extra cable for an extra fee as well.
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to use this product at all, but I'm sure I'll be able to use it at all. I had to use it and not send it back, but it will clearly end up in the waste bin as soon as it is replaced...
My little overclocked I7 4770K had to get rid of its watercooling, which has had its day, alas! I've been looking for some of the cheapest fans! But my I7 heats up a lot: 80°C in torture (under OCCT) for a frequency of 4,1 Ghz. Who was going to be able to cool it efficiently without hurting my cheapness? Well, I gave this Aerocool Mirage 5 a chance.

This fan is able to cool my I7 below 80°C in torture and relatively quietly! The design is simple but the RGB adds a nice touch.
The price-performance ratio is unbeatable! I recommend it!
Ordered on Saturday 24/01, received on Wednesday 27/01 so perfect Package really well packed I mounted it on an "old" intel i5 4670 (replacing the ventirad that is sold with this cpu) which is itself mounted on a MSI Z97 G45 Gaming ( Gpu : Msi gtx 970) It works perfectly wellJust a bit of a pain to mount it by itself (hold the plate behind, place the screws in front of the holes and screw at the same time) so if you have two it's better ;)Be careful, to be able to burn the rgb as you want, you will need an adapter for some motherboards (about 20?I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the same adapter for both cards, but I'm sure it's a good idea to use the same adapter for both cards. On Overwatch (graphics settings at max) : 56 C Max . On Cod cold war (graphic settings in medium/lev) 56-57C Conclusion : I recommend this ventirad for those who want RGB and efficiency for cheap :)
This ventirad is mystic light compatible yes but you need an adapter for msi z390 A pro and that is not specified in the product description.result no rgb unless you spend 20euros more and shipping costs !!!!!!!seriously!!!!!

I'm very happy with this product.
The design is really nice, it's a change from the classic fans, but if you don't like RGB, it might not be the best.
Performance wise, it's great! Bought to cool a Ryzen 5 2600 overclocked to 4.1Ghz / 1.35V. I did not use the thermal paste provided with the ventirad but the ARCTIC MX-2 2019 EDITION.
In idle, it oscillates around 32/35 °C. In games, I was able to test it on DEATH STRANDING, it did not exceed 62°C after one hour of play. I also did a stress test with Prime95 (small FFT s). After 10 minutes the temperature stabilized at 78°C which is not bad!
For those who are looking for a cool looking cooler with good performance and low price. This model is perfect!
In order to give more detail and not to give false ideas on the perfs given in my previous comment where the use had not been excessively intense.
During the two days of use I did not see it exceed 70.5°c in max Tctl/Tdie and still on Ryzen 5 3600 as said in the previous comment.
After a day of telecommuting, I ran HWiNFO tonight for a few hours on Di3 :
T°C (Min/Max/Avg)
CPU (Tctl/Tdie): 34.1°C/70.4°C/47°C
CPU Die (Average) : 33.4°C/55.3°C/46.5°C
CPU CCD1 (Tdie) 31.0°C/62.3°C/46.2°C
The CPU temperatures reported by the CM are of the same order.
a min/max/Avg at 33.5°C/70.5°C/46.0°C
For the settings of the CPU Fan I remained in "Intelligent Mode" with a fan setting having passed an "Auto tuning" for the integration of the parameters of this one by the bios.
On the fan management curve points, it runs at 16% at 35°, 43% at 49° and 69% at 64° and 100% at 80°C.
This gives you an idea of the average noise level of this fan, where it is usually between 40 and 50% of the maximum fan speed.
On the overclock side, the base multiplier is 3600, which has been increased to 4200.
After a few minutes of downtime to make this comment, the average temperature decreases with a current oscillating between 32°C and 40°C.
Which for this type of ventirad is, in my opinion, an excellent quality/price ratio. You can do much better but it will be more expensive.
I hope I have given you as much information as possible about the capabilities of this Mirage 5 model.
I wanted to replace a Corsair H100i RGB Platinum SE with a (active) fan and abandon watercooling.
I also wanted a cool looking fan, ARGB and not to interfere with my Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO RAM.
All this on a Proc AMD Ryzen 5 3600.
Clearly, when I picked up this cooler I wasn't expecting to do as well as my watercooling, nor as well as a big brand dual or single tower cooler.
However, and considering the price of this ventirand, the result is more than very good and I don't regret it!
In game on Destiny 2, I went from a max CPU temperature (Tctl/Tdie) [read" under HWiNFO64] of 47°C under Corsair watercooling to 53°C under AeroCool Mirage 5.
Considering the difference in price, technology and capacity, this Ventirad does a very good job with an excellent visual rendering!
Mounted on an MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon card, I had to use the backplate provided by AeroCool even if the original one (MSI) seemed to be compatible and stay in place.
Connected to the Jrainbow1 port of the motherboard, the ARGB lighting of this fan is controlled without any problem from the MSI Mystic Light software.
Finally, I did not use the thermal paste supplied by Aerocool in the bundle and presented in a simple bag but with Noctua NT-H2 also bought on LDLC for the occasion.
I highly recommend this unit.
