I bought it because I have just switched to fibre and needed a Gigabit compatible modem/router. Very happy with the product as always with TP-LINK. Very easy to configure, the interface is very user friendly. I also use it to schedule an automatic shutdown of WiFi at certain times, for example to automatically shut down WiFi at night. The modem never crashes, I never had to restart it. Very happy with the product,
This router is good, for its price. However, it sometimes loses all its mission power on the 5GHz band, making the internet connection impossible.in short, I recommend it despite everything.
I've had a lot of problems with my WIFI connection when I activated some features (DHCP Relay, QoS, DoS, wireless schedule), I didn't investigate further, I just deactivated everything so that the problems would go away....With 3 antennas, whether 2Ghz or 5Ghz it does not do better (or worse) than the old router without external antenna.I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the router with a hostname instead of an IP (wtf).Finally, forget about the DoS protection, even on low, it seems to have a big impact on the router's performance because the interface of the router takes a long time to load once it's active.Positive points: dualband, guest-wifi, ractive interface when DoS off, easy to configure.In the end, I'm already thinking of replacing the router in a year or two.
Delivered quickly despite the pandemic.
This router fulfils its role very well. Its 3 antennas allow to increase the wifi coverage. By choosing the best location in your house, it is possible to observe a real difference compared to the modem provided by the ISP.
In addition, this router can be configured and managed via an Android application (Tether) or via the tplinkmodem.net website, allowing you to monitor traffic, connected devices or ensure quality of service by prioritising packets for certain applications or users.
Finally, if you have reception problems due to distance, obstacles or congestion on your network (< 7 users), this router allows you to extend the network and manage the signal strength by geolocating the active users in order to improve the quality of the network.

Bought this to replace a faithful Netgear DG834 G from another era, quick installation, product lives up to my expectations increased wifi speed and range. I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the price.
