This product is a router but I use it as a switch. It is complex but with the wizards you can program the basic configurations (switch configuration among others). I only have Ubiquity products and I am very satisfied with them.
The device is installed.
A fixing strip would not be a luxury, as it is, the installation of the screws (not supplied) is a matter of DIY.
The recognition of the UBIQUITI EDGEROUTER X by the computer is not accessible to the losers of my category.
The device is of no use to me, I have no opinion about its possible good or bad functioning.
Excellent 5 port gigabit router, 256MB RAM and Flash, 2 core / 4 threads. Supported by OpenWrt alternative firmware, 790Mbps bandwidth through the router with SNAT. All in all a great experience.
Good, clever and compact product but it's a shame that for most common uses one of the ports becomes de facto unusable which reduces the real capacity. It is rarely necessary to set up two separate networks
