Performance and Efficiency
- Online double conversion topology. The Eaton 9PX inverter isolates the connected equipment from all disturbances of the electrical network by constantly regulating voltage and frequency.
- Up to 95% efficiency in online double conversion mode and 98% in high efficiency mode. The 9PX has the highest efficiency in its class and reduces energy and cooling costs.
- With a power factor of 0.9, the 9PX provides 28% more power in watts than most other inverters in its class.
- With its convertible rack/tower format, the 9PX offers up to 5400W of power for 3U of height and 10kW for only 6U.
Flexibility of use
- Its new multi-lingual LCD graphic display provides clear information on the status of the inverter. The display can be oriented to provide the best possible view in rack or tower configuration.
- The 9PX can measure power consumption and manage kWh through the LCD display or through Intelligent Power, Eaton's power management software.
- Load segment control allows battery life to be reserved for critical equipment. It can also be used to remotely restart stalled IT equipment or perform sequential shutdowns and restarts.
- The 9PX offers a USB port, serial port and dry contacts as standard, as well as an optional card slot (the network card is included as standard in Netpack versions).
- It comes with Eaton's power management software, Intelligent Power, which is compatible with all major OS, including virtual environments such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Availability and flexibility
- Its internal bypass ensures continuity of service in the event of a UPS failure. An optional maintenance bypass (HotSwap MBP) (standard in HotSwap versions) allows the UPS to be changed without cutting power to the connected equipment.
- To double its power, an Eaton 9PX can be connected in parallel with another 9PX using Eaton's HotSync technology, at no extra cost at the time of initial purchase.
- Intelligent battery management with Eaton's ABM technology that recharges batteries only when needed: prevents battery corrosion and gives up to 50% longer battery life.
- Its autonomy can be extended from a few minutes to several hours by installing external battery boxes (up to 12) that can be hot-swapped. These batteries are automatically detected by the UPS, without any user intervention.
