Cannot be used when connected to an external monitor
Problem of processor saturation when the laptop is used connected to an external monitor and this since its commissioning, end of October 2022.
I have had 2 returns to the after sales service for over 2 months and have been told by Asus and LDLC that the laptop is working normally. (1 return by us to Asus and 1 return via LDLC because the problem was not resolved).
However, the problem persists: the processor is quickly saturated when it is extended to an external screen. Typing then becomes very slow (several words of delay between typing and display) and mouse movements jerky.
So
- EITHER Asus and LDLC after-sales services are very inefficient, apart from the excessive standardized procedures (never the same interlocutors, identical files filled in several times at Asus, same procedures redone 4-5 times even if it still doesn't work,...) and interlocutors at the limit of rudeness at Asus,
- EITHER this machine is only possible to use for very limited performances: impossible in any case with an external monitor. Needless to say, we have extensively analysed and tested all possible configurations (other laptops on the external monitor, other external monitors with this Asus product, other cables,...) in order to be able to isolate the only problem: the Asus laptop.
In any case, this Asus laptop cannot ensure optimal professional use and don't count on the Asus and LDLC after sales services to consider this as a sufficient problem to deal with.
This was our 4th Asus laptop. Obviously, it's not what it used to be...
