TheICY DOCK FatCage MB901SPR-B is a dual-bay RAID enclosure that supports 2 x 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HDDs or SSDs in a 2 x 5.25" optical drive bay of your computer/workstation. With the built-in RAID 1 hardware chipset and easy-to-read RAID status LEDs, you can easily mirror the 2.5" drives for data redundancy without adding a RAID card or RAID monitoring software on the host side. In addition, the central processing unit (CPU) is normally required to compute a RAID, but alternatively, having a RAID chipset on the enclosure relieves CPU overhead and speeds up the overall system. Therefore, the MB901SPR-B is an ideal removable drive enclosure for mission-critical computer systems that not only speeds up your system's operation, but also provides protection for your critical data.

Featuring the integrated JMS562 hardware RAID chipset, the FatCage RAID MB901SPR-B allows you to add two HDD / SSD RAID arrays to any system without the need for a RAID controller card. It automatically replicates two 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drives / SSDs for data redundancy to avoid system downtime caused by a single hard drive failure.
The FatCage RAID MB901SPR-B is equipped with easy-to-read RAID status LED indicators for monitoring RAID health during operation so users can quickly capture live RAID status without installing RAID monitoring software.
The FatCage RAID MB901SPR-B features removable EZ-Tray disk trays, allowing users to install or remove disks without opening the computer case or turning off the computer. The EZ-Tray supports 2.5" and 3.5" SSD/HDD drives and is compatible with FatCage and DataCage enclosures.
Large ventilation holes are placed around the enclosure to work with your system's cooling system to keep your drives at optimal temperatures.
The MB901SPR-B supports 15-pin power cables with locking latches, so you'll never have to worry about cables being unintentionally pulled away from your enclosure. Once the cables are connected, they will stay in place.
