Overview

A powerful and quiet watercooling kit

With the Liquid Freezer II 420 all-in-one CPU watercooling kit, Arctic brings its expertise to gaming with a compact PWM controlled cooling pump. The pump does not run at full load all the time, but adjusts its operation to the temperature of the processor to limit its noise level at rest. The system is complemented by three 140mm high static pressure fans and another 40mm fan near the pump that cools the motherboard's VRM circuits.

Take advantage of Arctic expertise

Thanks to its ingenious design, the pump in this watercooling system does not run at 100% all the time. Instead, the PWM system it is equipped with adjusts its speed according to the current load. In this way, it is extremely quiet when not in use and consumes less energy!

The Liquid Freezer II also features three Arctic P-series fans with hydrodynamic 120mm bearings and blades designed for greater efficiency. Enjoy lower vibration levels, and extreme durability for your new watercooling system. In addition to the standard high static pressure fan, a smaller 40 mm fan is located next to the pump to cool the VRM circuits on the motherboard to prevent overheating during long periods of use. The water circuit is completely sealed, so there is no need to add additives.

    VERY GOOD WATERCOOLING

I chose it on the recommendation of my workstation setup, and it cools an Intel i7-14700K very efficiently (85°C in stress test under OCCT @5.6 GHz). As an added bonus, it's pretty quiet, for a reasonable price! Installation is pretty straightforward, but be warned: no paper instructions (only on their site via QR Code) and only in English (the Google translation into French is dodgy).

    Good but imposing

For the moment, this watercooling seems excellent, cooling an AMD 7600X. However, the radiator and pipes are really imposing, so be careful with the size of your case.

    Does what it's told

This AIO does the job mail it is heard under load, under cyberpunk I go up to 78-79 degrees in configuration cpu fan silence in my motherboard. I came from a corei7 4790 dissipated by a Noctua, the config was relatively silent and didn't heat up much.
With a 7600x processor with 125w tdp and a reputation for overheating, this changes the situation.

    So close to perfection!

I have to say first of all that when I choose a cooling system, the noise level is the parameter I look at with as much interest as the cooling performance.
So after a lot of research I found this Arctic Liquid Freezer II which seems to meet all my expectations both on performance and noise. The tests are unanimous and for a very competitive price!
    I chose the 360mm since it's an I7 10700k to be cooled.

The installation is very simple, but be careful to have a case that can accommodate it (on a Fractal define it passes without problem). The tutorial is well done even if we would have liked a paper version (but I'm quibbling).

From a performance point of view, it's all good after testing via 3D Mark and Cinebench, the arctic does very well.

But from a noise point of view... So : The pump and the fans are very quiet, no problem, I was even very surprised!
But the worry on my side comes from the small fan intended to cool the VRM. However, the tests described it as inaudible but it was not the case for me.
Maybe I am too sensitive to high pitched noises but I was constantly bothered by the acceleration and deceleration of the fan producing the slight high pitched noises. Be careful, it is still contained but for me it is unbearable.

Too bad then, I send it back and come back with my good old Noctua u12a
