SSD supposed to be more reliable for archiving data, but not at all!
I DON'T RECOMMEND IT!
After a year of light use, nothing to report. This external SSD is connected to my Freebox to record films or TV series from time to time. So there's nothing particularly intensive about it, nor any need for performance, so I can't comment on that. All I can say is that I've been happy with it and haven't had any technical problems with it.
I can recommend this external SSD, which does its job very well. It enabled me to load virtual machines and use them directly from this SSD, something impossible with an external HDD.
Usable as soon as plugged in. Can be plugged directly into USB C (cable supplied is a bit small though, 10cm is short) if the motherboard has a suitable port.
Whether reading or writing, transfer rates are very good (70MB/s).
installs quickly on Mac pre-formatted in exFat ideal for transferring data from windows to MacOs.
I have found it to be a great tool for transferring data from Windows to Mac. 130GB of data is copied in 4 minutes on the Mac.
I find this more than reasonable.
I'm not sure if it's a good value for money or not, but it's a good value for money.
I use the product mainly to store my digital sound banks and I needed a relatively constant and high transfer rate. I get the expected result with USB 3.2. It is very fast. I can load my large sound banks - especially orchestral ones - in the blink of an eye. And let's get on with the music!
