    The hard drive failed after a few months

    After experiencing quite a few errors, disconnections and hearing suspicious noises, the hard drive gave up. LDLC sent me another one which started to have the same symptoms as soon as it was used for the first time, so there seems to be a fault with this model.

    A practical external HDD that performs well enough for my needs

    This external hard drive is very easy to use: Plug'n'Play, I plug it in using USB Type A, so it's compatible with most of my devices and basic formatting, and off I go!

    I do my back-ups on it. The capacity suits me. Transfer speeds are pretty good.

    In terms of endurance, I'll have to wait and see. I'm not sure that this drive is the best in terms of heat tolerance and cooling, nor in terms of shock resistance, it seems a bit fragile to me, but hey, that's fine with me. After that, it's up to the user.

    Excellent To price - small size and weight

    It's amazing how in just a few years we've gone from external HDDs as heavy as cinder blocks to this!
    A tiny bit heavier and thicker than an SSD, incredible ...
    I was worried about overheating given the size, just lukewarm after 12 hours of inaudible writing at 35 MB/s.
    This is my second purchase of 2 drives and I'm very satisfied ;-)
