The sound chipset on my motherboard was causing random crackling so I bought this sound card on USB.
It is a pleasure to have clean sound again.
Windows 10 recognized it and configured it without any problems.
Every day I listen to music via my computer. Connecting the Sennheiser epos really improves the listening experience for a reasonable price I don't regret my purchase
I was having problems with static noise in my microphone (Sennheiser GSP 300) plugged into the jack, probably due to electrical interference, and this box has eliminated it all. No more need to go through the Windows options that distorted my voice, the result is really clean.
On top of that, we have access to some microphone parameters, as well as an equalizer with profiles already available (in addition to the possibility of creating your own) and 7.1 quite correct.
Only negative points for the moment (21/08/20), the software can be improved:
- the only button present on the device allowing to switch between stereo and 7.1 does not work. The program does indicate the change but nothing happens.
- The microphone settings are not preserved between each profile and you have to configure them one by one.
Fingers crossed for an update soon.
In any case, I recommend it if you have a headset around 100€ and you want to enjoy a better sound quality and microphone without breaking the bank in a more expensive headset.
Great sound converter easy to install but you have to install the software called EPOS GAMING. Nothing to say the top.
