The QNAP QSW-M408S is a manageable Layer 2 web switch that offers 8 Gigabit LAN ports and 4 SFP+ ports. The QSW-M408S is configured via the easy-to-use QNAP Web Swith System (QSS) interface.
With its compact and modern design, the QSW-M408S fits perfectly with other devices in the modern digital office. Featuring a design with a delicate white textured surface, the QSW-M408S helps users easily identify each port. The flexible DC power connector also allows the QSW-M408S to be universally deployed. Being fully plug-and-play, you simply connect the QSW-M408S to your devices and it will do the rest.
Flexible deployment
The QSW-M408S provides four 10GbE SFP+ ports and eight Gigabit ports to connect different devices and establish high-speed hybrid networks. With SFP+ interfaces, it is possible to use direct attach copper (DAC) cables to connect directly to SFP+ devices. Also, you can use 10G-SFP-T copper transceiver modules to connect 10GBASE-T/NBASE-T devices via Category 6, 5 or 5e RJ45 cabling. The capacity of the QSW-M408S is 96 Gbps, which guarantees the full potential of each port.QSS Dashboard
The QSW-M408S uses the QNAP Switch System (QSS) with an easy-to-use web-based graphical user interface (GUI) full of value-added features to simplify network configuration and management.
The QSW-M408S provides bandwidth and packet control functions (including LACP, VLAN, QoS, and IGMP Snooping) to boost network performance through IP bundling and bandwidth management. It also has powerful system and security features (including ACL, LLDP, RSTP, and Flow Control) to help administrators improve network reliability through access controls, troubleshooting, loop prevention, and avoiding packet loss.
