Enhance your USB-C laptop connectivity with this USB-C hub from StarTech. com that plugs into your laptop's USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 port, adding three USB-A ports and an SD card reader, so you can quickly connect more peripherals and devices. This hub provides direct access to your SD or microSD memory cards as additional storage and data transfer media. An adapter is required for microSD cards (not included).
This USB Type-C hub is a convenient and portable addition to your laptop accessories. The USB-C cable is integrated and the hub is bus-powered, i.e. directly from the USB-C port on your computer. So there's no need to use an external power supply. This means fewer cables to carry when you're on the move. The hub can draw up to 15 watts of power from the connected host and run multiple bus-powered devices simultaneously, with the total available power capacity depending on the connected host. The integrated 25 cm (10 inch) extension cable provides greater flexibility for longer range connections and plug-and-play installation.
With support for USB-A devices, this hub is backward compatible with both old and new USB devices. You can connect USB flash drives, video capture devices and external hard drives, with fast transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps. This USB Type-C hub enhances your productivity, providing the connections you need while you work.
