The IIB-HUB1417-I3 allows you to simply add an SD and microSD card reader to the front of your case while benefiting from 3 additional USB 3.0 ports. Simply plug the 20-pin USB 3.0 cable into the internal USB 3.0 connector on the motherboard to use it.

The reader works perfectly. However, on each of the USB sockets, the blue part that serves as a coding device broke off quite quickly. So there's no more coding, with the risk of a short-circuit if you connect the USB cable the wrong way round.
As a result, these plugs are no longer usable.
I upgraded my old tower to have USB 3.0 on the front. Fulfils its role perfectly. Reliability to be seen over time.
Fairly simple installation and usb C port OK.
However, the micro SD card reader is faulty.
Obviously, LDLC refused to honour the warranty, so I won't be buying this product again (or anything else from LDLC).
The product has already been installed for three weeks. It enabled me to recycle a mid-tower case that didn't have a USB3 port on the front panel. Once it was plugged in (the cable linking the usb3 connector on the motherboard to the icy box was supplied, and once a sata power supply had been connected to it), it was immediately recognised without a hitch. It's a pleasure to have three ports on the front (2 USB 3.0 type A and one USB type C) and a micro-sd and SD card reader that's directly accessible.
This is an excellent product.
The manual doesn't mention the SATA power supply that needs to be connected in addition to the USB cable supplied with the case. Once plugged in, everything is fine and you can finally take full advantage of USB 3.2 at full speed. It allows you to recycle old mechanical disks that are dusty in USB 2.
