I currently use this USB-A hub to connect four devices to a laptop.
Since this laptop only has two native USB-A ports, this USB hub complies with the 3.0 standard, allowing me to benefit from additional ports supporting this standard.
It is also backward compatible with previous standards.
It is perfectly suited to my personal use for transferring data from a USB flash drive or an external hard drive.
