With an average tower, the 3 fan graphics card hides the air intake of the chipset fan, this is at 60 degrees while everything else is at 40 degrees. I can't put the GC any lower than that or it will be 2cm away from the PSU. With today's large GCs, it is better to aim for a large tower to avoid this kind of inconvenience and to check the position of the integrated fan on your motherboard.
Motherboard used for a server.
I like the simple update for Linux: I place the .CAP file on the UEFI boot partition (which must be FAT32) and reboot into the BIOS. The file is found right away and the update goes smoothly. This way I have all the updates at hand.
I also like the three PCIe 4.0 x16 ports on this card. I bought a controller card to add SSDs for data (4 x 2TB). I clocked transfers at 4.5 GB/s.
The card is very configurable, I could easily turn off all those lights ;-)
Finally the price is contained for the features provided.
Everything was working fine for 7 months, and then all of a sudden, blue screen that caused the destruction of my NVME and all its data.
I tried to reinstall Windows, it works, but no way to connect to the internet, thanks Asus.
Non-standard 8+4 cpu power connector.
This will work with standard power supplies but alarm at each boot and limiting factor for the peripherals you will install (heavy duty graphics card and backup system)
I'm not sure if it's a good board or not, but it's a good bundle (but not the best at this price), aesthetically beautiful with its white, grey and rgb touches on a black pcb, great connectivity (many fan, sata and rgb 12v plugs)
the small negative points, which explain the star in less are:
- the lack of a second heatsink for the m.2 port,
- the backlight that stays on even when the computer is turned off, which is annoying when the case has a tempered glass panel and is in your room
-The white cover for the rear connectors sticks out a bit and can make it difficult to install the rear fan if the case is not very wide, which is my case.
