Flexible deployment optionsThe DAP-3315 has seven operating modes to suit any situation. As a standard wireless access point, the DAP-3315 can connect to a wide range of 802.11n/g/b compatible devices. In Wireless Distribution System (WDS) mode, it can extend existing wireless coverage without the need for a wired link. As a wireless client, it can connect to an existing access point and physically extend the network with the two built-in 10/100 Ethernet ports. Repeater mode extends existing wireless coverage by eliminating idle points and weak signals. WISP mode functionality includes the ability to operate as a client or repeater.

Precise control of network resourcesThe DAP-3315 supports up to 8 SSIDs which allows administrators to logically divide the access point into multiple virtual access points within a single hardware platform. Instead of having separate networks with multiple access points, administrators can deploy a single access point supporting multiple applications such as public Internet access and internal network control to increase flexibility and reduce costs. The DAP-3315 supports 802.1Q VLAN, working with multiple SSIDs to segment traffic and increase performance and security. The DAP-3315 includes wireless LAN partitioning, a useful feature for deployments such as wireless hotspots. When station-to-station partitioning is enabled, security is improved because wireless users cannot look at each other, reducing the possibility of data theft. |

Powerful security and management toolsThe DAP-3315 supports 64/128-bit WEP data encryption and WPA/WPA2 security functions. In addition, it provides MAC address filtering to control user access and the "Disable SSID Broadcast" function to limit access from outside the internal network. Network administrators have multiple management options for the DAP-3315 including HTTP and HTTPS. Works perfectly for several weeks in wifi repeater mode. No problems to report. I can finally have wifi everywhere in my yard. Which is cool.
A little complicated to set up but offers a real possibility of adjustment if you take the time and understand a minimum of English.
For the installation nothing to say. Everything is provided. I recommend it.
It was an observation concerning the range that convinced me to make the purchase: At about thirty meters, with the doors of the house closed, I receive the signal (2 bars). In another house, at the angular limit of the transmission, at 20 meters, behind 3 walls and two doors, I still receive with 1 bar.
I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Professional equipment can only be set up with the help of dlink France.
Technical support is very attentive.
And the equipment works very well despite a distance of 35 metres and a 60 cm thick wall.
