The action required is verified by a portal on an external server or a database customised by the network administrator, which can also be as simple as accepting the network's terms of use, or entering a user ID and password. It is not possible to connect the access point using PoE to a switch that is not a TP-LINK OMADA brand switch (Netgear GS308EP compatible with PoE in my case) and so it has to be connected to an electrical socket in addition to the network cable. No point.
A good idea to avoid if you don't want to be locked into a TP-LINK ecosystem...

I'm quite disappointed with my purchase. It didn't solve our connection problems. What's more, when we bought it we were told that we had to put in a code to prevent outsiders from using our device. But there is no code on this device.
Works well, a bit slow at 50m from 15 to 20 mbs, very good value for money!
Compared with access points from other brands, installation was easy. The signal strength and range met my expectations. The price was not high. The objectives were achieved.
