a beautiful machine
This is an inverter that does its job well... silently. After my old Eaton inverter, which I had to isolate in another room, it is incredible. The APC Smart-UPS is not online, just line interactive sinusoidal, but this is more than enough to protect even a small personal server, which is not critical in general. Add to this that the configuration of the box is quite rich and intuitive, that the standard Linux modules allow to use it immediately and everything will be said. At home, it protects all the switches, the box, a small server and two basic office machines without any problem; in the event of a power cut, everything disconnects except the server and the network equipment, which hold out for 40 minutes... the time it takes for EDF to restore the power!
