Adaptable to your needsThe Dark Base 700 PC case is capable of adapting to your specific needs. The motherboard tray can be installed next to the left panel in an inverted arrangement with a modified airflow. It is also removable for use as a test table. Installation options are multiple with three repositionable single hard drive slots. There are seven ways to install hard drives - two of which are hidden behind the power supply shroud. The clever covers serve to hide unused space and keep the interior clean and tidy. This allows you to create systems as unique as you are. |
LED lighting and tempered glass panelThe enclosure is equipped with an elegant, fully glazed side panel made of tinted and tempered glass. The exterior RGB LED lighting is an eye-catcher on the front panel. It is available in six switchable colours and three different functions. You also have the option of synchronising LEDs with your motherboard or the RGB controller. |

Optimal and ingenious coolingTwo SilentWings 3 140mm PWM fans provide near-inaudible operation thanks to the smooth-running 6-pole motor, durable dynamic fluid bearing system and blade design to optimise airflow. The funnel-shaped frame generates high air pressure. In performance mode, the fans can reach an impressive 1,600 rpm. The Dark Base 700 creates an efficient airflow with sound insulated panels for up to seven additional fans. Three zones are provided for watercooling up to 360mm. A clever feature is the detachable top hook on which you can install radiators and fans before mounting them as a complete unit in the enclosure. |

Very good case, well designed, the configuration can be reversed (CM visible on the left or right)
Very good non-mesh case ventilation, so total silence.
If I translate "Be Quiet!" into French, it's well deserved....
I am very satisfied with this camera. It is beautiful and sober, a little severe even for some. It is large and well ventilated with many possible accessories including many disk slots. The assembly and disassembly is well designed: I had to move the glass from the right side to the left side and this is easy. I mounted an ATX card, a watercooling kit, an SSD and a graphics card without any problem. I like the front panel fan settings: it makes less noise when the PC is not under heavy use and also the easy and colourful LED settings.
Super easy to assemble the single rear cable management.
Top opening a bit small. The foam system for fixing the glass is not very optimized. I have already lost one.

The case is really good, however it can be difficult to open/remove some of the covers but otherwise it is very high quality. I recommend it.
Beautiful case, sober, even with its LED strips on the front, with good connectivity, silent.
It is easy to use, well ventilated with its 2*140mm and capable of evolving.
Personally I added 3 120mm fans, BeQuiet SilentWings3, that I will replace by their big brothers in 140mm in a few days to improve the airflow and the silence, all controlled by the HUB integrated in the case which is connected to the motherboard for the PWM management.
The power supply cover at the bottom of the case also contains two 3.5/2.5 drive bays and can be ventilated via one of the front slots.
The only thing that bothers me is the access to the dust filters, front and bottom, you have to remove the front panel which is a bit simplistic, but nothing really annoying.
Apart from that it is a bit expensive but quality often has a price.
I am delighted with this Be Quiet! box which exudes quality. Having followed a lot of tests on the internet I took the plunge and I don't regret it.
My management cable is clean, everything is thought for. The brand provides velcro tapes with the Be Quiet! logo. It's cleaner than the collars.
Why three stars less? For the LED system on the removable front panel. Indeed, this front panel can be removed to access the fans and the filter. But the LEDs on the side are connected to the rest via simple pins that make contact. But on mine there is a false contact. Of course it's only once everything is installed that you realise it. I have to contact the brand to change it, a little average for a new and high end box.
It's clear that this tower is not cheap... this said it is super equipped with its two silent wings fans, its rheostat and its USB 3 ports on the front. My AIO 3 fan fits perfectly and the temperature of my equipment rarely exceeds 40°C. Super stable without being too heavy, I recommend it!
Sober case and clean lines. I put my graphics card in vertical with Thermaltake PCI-e X16 Riser Cable (works without loss of performance). On top of the case I put a "Corsair Hydro Series H150i PRO" (360 radiator) which fits without problems, but the air evacuation on top of the case is not sufficient (big difference with and without the top!). It is a pity that be quiet! did not study the air flow better and made more air vents.
The Ssd slots behind the motherboard (right at the pross) and the lack of ventilation there (it's in the "cable management" area) plus the current high temperatures make the poor Ssd's temperatures rise :)
If you leave the Hdd cages at the bottom, it's the same, you have to be careful and ventilate your Hdd...
I'm not sure if it's a good case, but you have to optimize the ventilation and be careful with the temperature of your components...
Very well laid out enclosure, lots of well thought out cable routing. Not yet tried the LED lighting. The only downside is that the front fan mounting screws prevent a watercooling radiator from being mounted flush, so spacers are needed. I'm not sure if it's a good one or not, but I'm sure it's a good one.
