Compact, powerful, silent and ARGB

The be quiet! Pure Base 500 FX is a mid-tower case with a silent design that allows you to assemble almost any configuration based on a mini-ITX, micro-ATX or ATX motherboard. The optimised interior space can accommodate up to 5 SSDs, a 190 mm high fan and a 369 mm graphics card. The tempered glass side panel offers an unobstructed view of the components inside your PC case, and the ARGB backlighting adds a touch of assertive gaming.

Be Quiet! has taken great care to ensure quiet operation by installing 4 Light Wings PWM fans , while emphasising its gaming look. It also offers numerous cable storage options to hide unwanted cables and optimise airflow.

Generous interior space

The Pure Base 500 FX offers generous dimensions for the installation of high-end graphics cards and large cooling systems up to 190 mm high. Fans or radiators up to 360 mm can be easily installed at the front. The upper zone offers space for fans or radiators up to 240 mm.

Ultra-quiet operation

Three 120 mm Light Wings PWM fans are pre-installed on the front, with optimised blades to ensure perfect airflow and constant cooling. Despite the case's compact design, the rear fan is a 140 mm Light Wings PWM model, which also ensures very quiet operation. As an option, if required, 2 other 120 or 140 mm fans can be installed in the top position.

A neat interior

The power supply cover perfectly covers the cables, the power supply unit and contains a double HDD rack. The double HDD cage with decoupled supports reduces vibrations and helps to maximise silence. It can also be repositioned to fit radiators up to 360 mm in front. Using the PSU bracket, the power supply can be easily installed from the rear.

ARGB LEDs to light up your games

ARGB LEDs offer a range of colours and styles to personalise the appearance of the enclosure both indoors and out. You can optionally synchronise the lighting with your motherboard or ARGB controller.

    Compact but practical and bright

    We bought the version with glass to take advantage of the many LEDs on the various components. The case is solid, with every part fitting snugly. The fans supplied are a little bulky, but easy to move if necessary, and have small rubber feet to limit vibrations. The AIO 3 fans can be easily attached to the front panel, and the initial fans can be moved to the top and/or rear of the case. The case does a pretty good job of muffling noise (especially from the graphics card) and if you install an AIO Be Quiet, you really won't hear much. The case is a little tight but sufficient.

    Very good box / Small quack on delivery

    Nickel casing, the assembly isn't the simplest but it does the job well.
    The LEDs in the fans and on the front panel look great.
    I find the fans a bit noisier than the ones I had before, but by adjusting their settings in the BIOS I manage to limit the noise when I'm not gaming.
    Delivery went well, apart from the fact that the screw holding the ARGB-PWM Hub was missing from the inside of the case, but when I shook it, it eventually reappeared. I think it's a shame that I had to do this to find my screw.
    All in all, a very good box, a bit noisy when playing and not the easiest to use for a first assembly, but it's OK all the same.
