This product worked for 30 days, since then the network keeps cutting out every 30 seconds.
I have found users in the same situation as me.
A shame at this price to sell an unfinished product. As I write this the network has already cut off twice.
This product is great. Advanced router administration if needed. The wifi has an excellent range. With the router + satellite I cover 120 m2 on 3 levels with maximum speed everywhere.
It also offers the possibility of doing without the Livebox router for Fibre subscribers, and so we finally reach the speed promised by Orange. I'm getting 400M down and up on Wifi, whereas I wasn't getting it on the old Livebox.
I recommend it to anyone who wants a powerful and stable wifi.
Very good equipment, easy to use and efficient.
Attention, it is necessary to take care to place the satellite well in order to obtain optimal performances (take into account the colour code of assistance during the configuration of the satellite).

I'm very satisfied with this product (LDLC's order processing and shipping are top notch ;-) )
I ordered this device after having consulted many specialised sites and with a view to covering a 185 m2 ground floor flat. The satellite is difficult to synchronise with the base station, and once the location has been found, the room furthest from the router only receives a weak signal. Perhaps a second satellite is needed? I'm going to go back to the good old CPL Wifi.
I live in Paris in the 10th district in a 70m2 flat. I shouldn't have any wifi problems, but I live in old buildings, and 2 big walls, a small corridor and a kitchen separate my living room (where my router is) from my bedroom (where I also want a perfect wifi connection).
PLC sockets and other repeaters have never worked.
ORBI is the first solution that has FINALLY worked! So I am satisfied.
However, I don't give it 5/5 for the following reasons:
You have to be very careful about the layout of the routers: "350m2 of range": moui... take it with great care. Unless you live in a large open loft (like everyone at ORBI a priori...), if you have 2 walls between your router and your satellite: it doesn't work.
You have to play as much as possible so that the 2 are more or less visible one in front of the other. Once the combination is found: bueno!
So I finally have wifi in my room: I can send Netflix from my smartphone to my TV in chromecast. That's great.
However, I can feel that it grinds a little bit from time to time. And I have, occasionally, some moments where the connection is a bit slow on smartphone. I have to close/open my WIFI.
I'm allowed to quibble about all these details: at more than 400€ a product, I can only be very demanding.
In a few words: if you can't stand it for a long time to get a homogeneous wifi connection everywhere in your home, ORBI is the solution. Just think about the layout of the terminals before buying.

Nothing to say on the LDLC side but for the past month, this product purchased in December 2016 has been experiencing multiple wifi disconnections with smartphones. The American and European forums are full of dissatisfied people suffering from these malfunctions. Netgear has not yet modified the firmware to compensate for this negligence.
I'm going to get my money back
Bought 2 kits, one for business use and the other for private use. One of the two works perfectly, the other not at all: network security problem, then disappearance of the wifi, then frozen network: basically it's a bit of a lottery. Note that the internet box is the same in both cases and so are the settings.
Don't expect any help from the support; it must exist only virtually.
Frankly, go the other way.
Easy installation and very efficient. All connected objects are connected directly to orbi (very fast wps connection). No more reconfiguration each time you update your box, the satellite range is top notch, wi-fi by the pool, the best!
I installed this Netgear Orbi system in an old farmhouse with very thick walls (50-60 cm thick). I was looking for a high performance system that would provide a good Wi-Fi signal throughout the house with the same SSID. The installation and configuration is done very easily from an ipad ;-) I recommend however to update the firmware of the router and the orbi satellite to version 1.4.0.18! The Wi-fi is really great everywhere in the house and even in the garden :-) I recommend this system if you are looking for a good Wi-Fi system.
