asus Blu-ray recorder

Tested several times burning blurays. No problems, no errors and on top of that, it is silent. I'm happy with my purchase for the moment

Disappointed!!!

Disappointed! 2 months after purchase, no disc is recognised ... I'm taking it back to the shop tomorrow! Over these 2 months, I have encountered the same disconnection or non-recognition problems reported in some reviews ...

Works out of the box on Linux!

Perfect for my archiving needs. Tested with DVD-Rs and BR-Rs on a laptop running Ubuntu 20.04 using K3b. I'm completely satisfied.

        Functional

Perfect, compliant and works perfectly in playback.
        Not yet tested the burning.

        We'll see in time.

        Asus burner

I have not yet had time to burn anything. The product is as I expected, but the USB cable
is really too short. I'm very pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone.

No problems burning on Windows 10 with Nero Express or Nero Vision

No problem of burning on Windows 10 with Nero Express or Nero Vision. On the other hand on Mackbook Pro 2020 chip M1 the burning was very complicated, (Final Cut Pro, Compressor or Adobe Premiere), but in fine I found where the bugs came from.

On Macbook Pro 2020 which has no classic USB plug, with the supplied USB-C Thunderbolt 3 cable, the ability to burn a 25GB or 50GB BD-R, (not sure if the burner is compatible with the 100GB BR XL), is almost impossible, so I had a bright idea (lol), I have an adapter 7.1 USB 3.2 - Thunderbolt adapter, I took the USB-double USB cable supplied with the burner, and there Oh miracle the burning was done without problem, I just have to test with BD MDisc and it will be perfect for my archives.

        Great

        Easy to install.
It works with all my DVDs and blue-rays.
All my friends are jealous of it (gniark, gniark, gniark!)
Asus provides some tools, at least for the basic functions.
        That's coooooooool!

        very satisfied

Very pleased with this purchase. Compatible with both Mac and PC; burning and playback in Blu ray was no problem.

        Perfect for M-DISC

Acquired for backup (long term archiving) of photos and video montages on M-DISC. About 10 discs burned with Verbatim 'BD-25' discs and 100% success with Nero (after "verify written data" and "Securdisc surface examination").

        compliant

This drive has allowed me to copy audio CDs to my hard drive, which a previous drive could not do because of protections.

LDLC is still as efficient as ever!

Good choice on a well made website, fast and quality delivery, good product, that's why LDLC is a must for a computer purchase!
You will have understood: I recommend both the product and LDLC!

        Linux

I bought this burner to make perennial backup with M-Disc technology (supposedly 1000 years). Under Linuxmint 19.3, I burned 25 single layer blu-ray of 25 GB and 1 multi-layer M-Disc blu-ray of 100 GB. No errors to report. I used the Xfburn 0.5.5-1 software. However, I did not test the reading/burning of blu-ray movies with DRM.

The installation is very simple: plug in, install Xfburn, burn. Some distributions like MX Linux already have Xfburn installed, so it's really plug-in-play ;-)

        Blu-Ray player

        Good morning, Sir

I am very satisfied with my purchase and the LDLC company.
The only downside (you have to buy an app to play Blu-Ray) in my opinion it should be provided with the player. Thank you to the whole team.

I haven't really been able to use it but it's fine for now. I'm waiting to install a Blue-Ray burning software

Very good product. Easy to install. Requires good playback software like Power DVD. Efficient burning and blu-ray playback 10/10.

        Not too bad

I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good product for burning CDs/DVDs/blu-rays, it's handy for its size so I can take it everywhere with my laptop, it's a bit noisy, nice design.
But I can't play a Blu-ray movie (I bought it) because of a protection of M**** and then it complains because people download the movies...anyway.
The software provided ...null ..because software has 15% to use the rest you have to buy it.
The whole thing is disappointing to me.
