Cambridge Audio L/R X: high-fidelity sound with full active power
Designed to deliver a spacious and immersive listening experience without multiplying devices, the Cambridge Audio L/R X combine amplification, network streaming and digital processing within an elegant active stereo system. Their 800 W total power drives a sophisticated acoustic architecture combining custom 28 mm tweeters, two 5-inch woofers and two 6-inch side-firing passive radiators. Capable of reaching down to 35 Hz, they deliver deep, articulate bass without requiring a separate subwoofer, while preserving the balance, clarity and presence of the music, even in large spaces. Their architectural silhouette, floating base and discreet LED lighting also make them a true decorative object, available in six finishes.

The exclusive 28 mm tweeter is one of the key components of the L/R X. Its dual-radius aluminium dome works with a custom waveguide and an advanced rear chamber to reproduce detail precisely and create an exceptionally wide and realistic soundstage. In the bass range, the two 5-inch woofers, one front-facing and the other concealed beneath the speaker, reproduce low-frequency nuances while limiting distortion. They are supported by two 6-inch passive radiators, capable of producing generous bass down to 35 Hz. A precision 64-bit DSP pipeline handles filtering and signal processing, while DynamEQ, room acoustic optimisation, digital crossovers and enhanced speaker protection maintain controlled listening at both low and high volumes.
StreamMagic Gen 4: every source, complete freedom
At the heart of the L/R X, the StreamMagic Gen 4 platform provides access to Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, Qobuz Connect, Internet radio and UPnP content. Compatibility with Roon Ready, Google Cast and AirPlay 2 also makes multiroom streaming easy. The WiSA HT connection can transmit a high-resolution signal wirelessly at up to 24-bit/96 kHz between the two speakers; for environments where wired stability is preferable, a 5-metre USB-C cable is included. Connectivity also covers traditional and audiovisual sources: RCA auxiliary input, MM phono preamplifier for a turntable, HDMI eARC for a television, optical input, USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as an RCA output for a subwoofer. Three equalisation modes—Normal, Film and Voice—also allow the sound to be instantly adapted to the content being listened to.
