Designed for spacious rooms and ambitious installations, the Cambridge Audio MSX Sub 300 brings deeper, more powerful and truly immersive sound to movies, TV series and music. Its dedicated 300 W amplifier provides substantial dynamic headroom to maintain clean, well-defined bass, even when the volume is increased. Despite its generous performance, its cabinet remains compact and easy to integrate. Its clean lines, matte finish and balanced proportions allow it to fit discreetly in a corner, next to a piece of furniture or at the heart of a media space. It can be paired with MSX20 speakers or integrated into a more complete MSX system to deliver greater scale and physical presence.
An active driver supported by a passive radiator
The MSX Sub 300 combines an 8-inch active driver with a passive radiator of the same diameter. Working together, they move air more efficiently, enhancing bass depth and impact while preserving precision. Its frequency response extends down to 31 Hz at -6 dB: explosions gain weight, soundtracks gain atmosphere, and low notes gain texture and energy. Designed to fill large rooms with ease, this subwoofer delivers spacious, dynamic sound without sacrificing detail. Tuned by ear and guided by the experience of Cambridge Audio, it prioritizes accuracy and musicality above all.
Intelligent DSP and precise controls
The digital processing of the integrated signal is one of the key technological strengths of the MSX Sub 300. This DSP monitors and adjusts the frequency response and output level in real time, preserving bass stability, clarity and control during the most demanding passages. The adjustable active filter from 50 to 200 Hz and the variable phase control from 0 to 180° make it possible to precisely match the subwoofer to the speakers and the room's acoustics. A pair of low-level RCA inputs makes it easy to connect to the audio system, while a pair of RCA pass-through outputs allows the signal to be passed through. Finally, the automatic power-on function ensures particularly easy everyday use.
