The Cambridge Audio MSX Sub 200 brings a new dimension to music, films and TV programmes with powerful, clear and perfectly controlled bass. Its dedicated 200 W amplifier delivers consistent energy at all listening levels, while its particularly compact cabinet easily fits into a modern interior. Designed to complement MSX speakers or integrate into an existing setup, it adds depth, scale and impact without unbalancing the rest of the sound spectrum. Its clean lines and matte finish allow it to look elegant or discreetly blend into the surroundings.
A compact acoustic architecture
At the heart of the MSX Sub 200 is an active driver of 6.5 inches working with two passive radiators of the same diameter. This design efficiently moves air and extends the low-frequency response without relying on traditional ports and the distortion they can cause. The subwoofer achieves a frequency response of 36 Hz to 200 Hz while retaining compact dimensions. It adds weight to action scenes, enriches basslines and reinforces the rhythm of music, while preserving the balance and clarity of the overall sound. Each subwoofer is also tuned by ear by Cambridge Audio to prioritise musicality over an artificially showy bass response.
Intelligent DSP and precise adjustments
The integrated digital signal processing controls the frequency response and output level to maintain stable, clear and controlled bass, including when the volume is increased or during the most dynamic passages. To precisely adapt its performance to the room and connected speakers, the MSX Sub 200 features an adjustable active filter from 50 to 200 Hz and continuous phase control from 0 to 180°. A stereo RCA input makes connection easy, while a RCA pass-through output allows the signal to be sent to another device. Finally, its automatic activation and standby system simplifies everyday use by limiting the need for manual intervention.
