Overview

The perfect compromise between responsiveness and comfort

This Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Keyboard is for gamers looking for precise, tactile typing without compromising on speed. Thanks to the low-profile orange touch-sensitive switches, it offers an assertive feel without excessive noise, coupled with dual-mode connectivity (HyperSpeed 2.4 GHz + Bluetooth). The ultra-thin 18.5 mm design with aluminium structure promises both style and durability.

Speed, responsiveness and advanced connectivity

The BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile Hyperspeed features Razer HyperSpeed Wireless technology in 2.4 GHz, ensuring ultra-low latency for intensive gaming sessions. It's also Bluetooth-enabled, so you can seamlessly switch between up to 3 devices. As an option, it supports the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, which boosts the polling rate to 4,000 Hz for even greater responsiveness.

With this dual connectivity, you can combine performance and flexibility: competitive gaming on a PC, control on a tablet or console via Bluetooth. The keyboard also supports multi-device pairing via a single dongle, ideal for simplifying your setup without multiplexing peripherals.

Optimised touch typing and acoustic comfort

The low-profile orange tactile switches offer perceptible feedback without being noisy, perfect for demanding gamers and those who share their space. Compared with conventional switches, the low-profile versions have a reduced travel (2.8 mm max.) for faster actions.

What's more, the keyboard is carefully constructed to minimise resonance: lubricated stabilisers, a double layer of foam under the steel plate, and a 5052 aluminium alloy top plate all contribute to controlled acoustics. The result: clean, dynamic typing without excessive noise.

    Great, but a bit too noisy.

    Positives:
    - Low-profile keyboard
    - Feels very sturdy ++++
    - LED and pattern configuration via hardware or software (Linux users: currently not compatible with Open Razor)

    Negatives:
    - Keyboard noise similar to a Pentium 233 MHz > "no excessive noise" > noisy enough to disturb people working around me.
    - The sound control wheel, which is completely useless, could have been used for scrolling/changing applications/etc.
