The versatile perf
A processor that's far too powerful, consumes a lot of power and heats up!
This one was unstable following BIOS changes at Asus on a Rog Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi until the last one, which corrected this.
I gave it a little OC + undervolting with a limit of 280W, and the CPU is both more powerful and cooler, with no drop in frequency on the cores during heavy loads.
It's cooled by an Asus Rog Ryuo III watercooler, which keeps it cool when used at 100% for rendering or compiling. Even a huge ventirad isn't recommended to cool it unless you're not using it at full capacity, and even then!
I'm giving it a 4-star rating because, as well as being expensive, its power consumption and heating are problems that Intel would do well to improve, because as well as having to put a lot of effort into cooling, you shouldn't neglect the motherboard either and put the CPU on anything.
