Good sound for the size and great versatility

I bought these speakers to save some space at home after a move, trying not to lose quality (answer at the end). These Triangle replace a 2x60w yamaha amp connected to two passive speakers (Monitor audio bronze MR2): excellent sound but needs to push the volume a bit.

These Borea are connected to a PC in RCA (and in the future in optical), I also use Bluetooth to connect them to my smartphone. It always works very well. The various connection options are very practical (to connect a games console for example).
I really appreciate the possibility to turn off the LED on the front panel (unfortunately in standby mode the LED is always lit in red). The LED changes colour depending on the source selected and lights up for a few seconds when the settings are changed (volume/bass/treble...).

    Negative points :
slight hissing / whistling regardless of volume.
The batteries in the remote control seem to wear out quite quickly.
It's a pity that the bass reflex event is behind the speakers and not on the front.
    The red light in standby.
A bit "slow" when switched on and when changing source.

    Positive points :
the remote control is well made and super convenient, it works in any position.
The "EQ reset" button + the tone buttons on the remote control (treble / bass)
The speakers are a bit smaller than my old ones.
    Quality of finish / construction

    What about the sound?
The sound is very good but... not as good as my old equipment. And yes, size does matter (13cm boomer versus 16cm). So I lost in bass but I gained in space, in connectivity, in practicality. On the other hand the dynamics are better, it's more "peachy" at low volume, but with a slight lack of midrange. In the end, I find myself in it and don't regret it at all.

Note: Be careful, the speakers seem to be in "LOUD" mode. After breaking in, the sound is better (less dry).
