Thanks to the Intel Iris Xe graphics chip, the Intel Core i5 processor excels in many areas: video games in 1080p, advanced 8K or 4K HDR cinema experience (with an external screen), complex video editing with impressive encoding speeds. The RAM part is entrusted to fast DDR4 while the storage is provided by an ultra-fast M.2 SSD.
The LDLC Aurore J1K is easy to transport. Its 14-inch chassis, light weight (less than 1 kg) and 10-hour battery life (depending on usage) allow you to take it anywhere and use it for a long time without having to plug it in. This notebook comes without an operating system, so you can install a compatible operating system (either one you already own or one you have purchased separately). The installation of Windows 10 64-bit is recommended, to allow you to fully exploit all the possibilities offered by this laptop. Windows 7/8/8.1 cannot be installed on this model.

Excellent computer, fast, user friendly, but also light and easy to take with you. I installed Ubuntu 22.04 without any problem, as well as all the software I use. No problems with the connectors, everything is functional.
The only drawback is the battery which does not keep its promises of 10 hours of autonomy, rather 4 to 5 hours, and the recharging is a little slow.
Laptop received, installed. First problem: delivered with a CD (? - are there still CD drives on current laptops? I didn't have any, please give the link with the delivery), I had to call the after sales service to find out how to find and download the drivers.
Second problem: the laptop stops charging the battery when it reaches 80% of charge, and the autonomy is only 70 minutes! This kind of PC normally has a much longer autonomy. I contacted the service department again, asking to have the battery changed. The person I spoke to told me that it must be due to my version of Windows 10: Whaooo first time I've heard that one, I've been installing PCs since Windows 95 (27 years already??) ... well, I tried with the latest version of Ubuntu, and with the most recent version of Windows 10. .... same thing, same problem: very little autonomy ...
