Ender 3 Series 3D Printer Noise Shield and Filter

Overview

A cover specially designed for your Creality 3D printer

Designed by Creality , this case is particularly adapted to the Creality Ender 3 Series printers. It is ideal for heat retention and sound insulation (noise reduction of up to 5 dB). Indeed, by acting as a heat shield, this dedicated cover will retain the heat generated by the platen and slow down the cooling of the plastics. This is necessary to maintain a good interlayer bond on your ABS prints. This high and stabilised temperature will also limit the phenomenon of warping (delamination). This cover also protects your 3D printer from dust thanks to its HEPA filtration. Dust can indeed be very harmful to the adhesion of the plate and various moving parts.

Good, but take care when customising the printer

    No problems with delivery,
The assembly was a disaster, the instructions were not very detailed and there was a lot of confusion, but with the photo of the fully assembled casing, you finally got the hang of it.
One big problem was that a lot of screws were missing, fortunately I had some M3 ones to finish the assembly.
The box isn't at all suitable if you're using a direct drive.
You have to reposition the spool support away from the bottom of the box and make a new hole for the filament to pass through.
The fact that the plates are made of Plexiglas means that it's possible to make cuts and holes.
With a 3D printer (good timing, you can easily model parts to make the appropriate modification.
I also placed this box on a Nomarub anti-vibration tile bought for 9.90€ at Bricoman, I cut out the place for the printer so that the box rests on the tile on its own.
There's also no switch for the filter fan, so you have to unplug it each time.
    For the rating :
    1 star for Top delivery
1 star for the quality of the parts
    1 star for operation
0 stars for the brief instructions (they could have been a bit bigger and an exploded view of the assembly would have been really welcome)
0 stars for the screws (many M3 screws were missing)
