Product not up to standard
I hesitated for a long time between 2 and 3 stars.
The pluses:
- Spatialization very well done, no worries on this side;
- Sound power present (but ! to follow below);
- Easy to install;
Minuses:
- Like the previous comment: when unpacked, in HDMI, micro-cuts every 5-10seconds. Fortunately, LDLC's support team, always on top of things, looked for and found a firmware update (contact them for details), which corrected the problem;
- Despite the firmware update, there are still some very infrequent micro-cuts (about one every 30min);
- The volume control is very frustrating as I often have the sound too low on one notch but too loud on the next while being in the middle of the control range (24-25 out of 40);
- AND, the big black spot for me: the built-in subwoofer is a joke. Even when you turn up the bass with the remote control, you're still left with a bass level similar to that of a well-made Bluetooth speaker. Which means great for a small portable speaker, but really really bad for a soundbar, especially compared to an external subwoofer of equivalent power (150W according to the description). I guess you could consider it a middle ground between no subwoofer and a subwoofer, but then, it's not at all what I expected by "built-in subwoofer".
