The dongle is not recognised by my computer, nor my wife's nor the office computer... impossible to find drivers on the manufacturer's website.
In short, a useless object.
This key seems to do what it was made for, wifi. Small test of 2 hours, without particular problems. Where there was a problem was during the installation. The fixed PC did not have a CD drive, and without a driver, the key does not work... The snake that bites its tail! I had to use my phone to connect it and install the drivers via the cable connection. Apart from this hitch, everything works fine. I'm sure you'll want to get the b1 driver from the asus website. Otherwise for the moment it does its job.
Hello,
I'm very happy with ldlc which manages the sending very well.
I'm very happy with ldlc and it's working very well. I have to say that there are several revisions of USB-N10 Nano (with different realtek chips) and the one I received was not supported by raspbian buster as standard (or I screwed up somewhere). But! Asus had the good idea to provide the source code of the drivers on the CDROM attached to the key. So I was able to recompile the driver (just a small bug with GCC to unblock, 3x nothing). After compiling and installing the driver, everything works fine. On my desktop PC (intel) (ten years old) and on my raspberry (arm) (3 or 4 years old). I use the dongle to stream music with Logitech Media Server and squeezelite. No problems found with the dongle.
It's a pity that this version of the drivers is not standard on Linux, it would be easier :-(
For information, the name of the compiled driver is: 8188eu . The USB key is recognized like this by lsusb :
