The Zalman CNPS17X is a high performance fan with an exclusive design that is as impressive as it is powerful. Built around 6 copper heatpipes and a 4D stereoscopic aluminium heat sink, combined with ahigh performance 140mm PWM RGB fan, this is the ideal cooler to keep your powerful Intel 2066/2011-v3/2011/1150/1151/1155/1156 and AMD AM4/AM3/AM3+ processors running smoothly.
The CNPS17X is designed for exceptional cooling performance, but its unique and innovative design will also dazzle your system. The SF140 RGB fan is also part of the party, and is as quiet as it is bright with its 16.8 million colours. With a height of 160 mm including the fan, this CNPS17X fan is designed for high-end, high-performance gaming configurations, housed in medium to large tower PC cases.
The ZalmanCNPS17X is a ventitrad built around 6 copper heatpipes and an aluminium radiator. It has been designed to dissipate heat efficiently. In order to achieve its mission, this fan tray is equipped with Zalman's exclusive Reverse Direct Touch Heatpipes technology, which allows the heatpipes to be in direct and wider contact with the processor.
A tube of ZM-STC8 thermal paste is supplied with the CNPS17X. This paste will be used to fill the small gap between the processor and the CNPS17X to significantly increase the cooling effect. This thermal paste has been designed by Zalman to give you excellent cooling performance.
The heat sink of the Zalman CNPS17X is made of aluminium. The innovative 4D stereoscopic design of the corrugated cooling fins ensures optimal heat dissipation. So you can enjoy a heat dissipation performance for your processor, which Zalman estimates to be 15% more efficient than a conventional heatsink.
The high-performance 140mm SF140 fan ensures maximum cooling performance with very little noise. It supports PWM function, which automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the processor temperature.
Its dual flow structure generated by its patented dual blades increases the airflow produced. This results in optimal cooling performance.
In order to minimise noise and vibration, Zalman decided to apply biomimetic technology to the SF140 fan. This original and innovative architecture absorbs the noise and vibration generated by the rotation of the blades, thus providing a stable and even quieter user environment.
The SF140 also featuresFluid Dynamic Bearing technology, which reduces friction, resulting in a maximum life cycle of over 100,000 hours.
The 140mm Zalman SF140 fan that works in conjunction with this Zalman CNPS17X fan is an RGB model that allows you to access 16.8 million colours of illumination using a compatible RGB motherboard, including ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync and Gigabyte RGB Fusion.

The performance is very satisfactory.
The attachment mechanism is a bit more tedious than average.
The height should be taken into account (16-17cm above the motherboard, including the fan).
The colours are, as always, a matter of taste.
