It's a fast and practical drive with USB on the front, and it does its job well.
But, used to the MyBook WD and their silence of grave, this Seagate proves to be more noisy... since it, I hear it ^^
Product conforms, well packed, arrived in a week in Guadeloupe.
Plug and play instantaneous, you plug it in and it works!
The USB 3 hub is very fast and transfers at around 100MB per second from the hub to the disk and also from the hub to the computer behind.
To finish LDLC, as usual perfect!

After a little while of use, this drive seems serious; the hub (smart or not) does its job well and allows to free up a USB port on the PC. This makes it possible to add an additional hub of 2 to 4 ports, which makes it VERY easy to manage 4 to 8 hard disks.
If the hardware is solid and reliable (see in a few years) it will be perfect.
The hub is very practical, but for those who are not used to it, it's not an ssd, so it's a bit scratchy
I have already given a very positive review of this product. I have just received another one, so I really appreciate the material. I've just received another one and I really like it. No problems and as I said before, the lack of a switch and the automatic on/off is really handy.
This product works very well but I had to reformat the drive to get acceptable performance in the context of use. I am using this drive for a backup of some folders on my Synology and the NTFS format is not appropriate, it is better to reformat to Ext4.

The design is what I like, black and sober. The only point that surprises is the absence of a stop-start switch. The only thing that surprises me is the lack of an on/off switch, but once you get over the initial surprise, it turns out to be quite practical as it goes into standby mode as soon as the equipment it is connected to is switched off and restarts when it is switched on.
The hard drive is very discreet, works perfectly.
I haven't used the built-in backup software yet as I use it as a media center with my raspberry pi.
