Used as a backup for a Qnap NAS, I'm a bit disappointed. Indeed, you can hear it scratching a lot, which is a bit worrying. Despite this noise, it does its backup job well, but I preferred to add an extra drive in case of issues.
This product is not compatible with the Synology DS218J, contrary to Synology's claims.

Detection of a faulty storage group that requires the drive to be changed.
It can happen!
The first problem was that as I'd bought it over the Internet and not in a shop, it couldn't be taken back by the shop in Rennes where I'd been!
In a hurry, I decided to buy a replacement in the shop.
I was sold a WD40EFPX.
Repairing the storage group on my NAS didn't work.
I checked the Synology website and saw that it wasn't on the compatibility list.
I called the shop and the person I spoke to told me it was compatible.
I open a support ticket on the Synology website which cannot be taken into account as it is not on the compatibility list.
Delivery OK, but the packaging could do with a little more protection for a hard drive. The Pro version makes more noise than its predecessor, but that's acceptable.
Disappointed with the PRO quality, I bought 2 HDD of 4To and 1 arrived defective. An exchange was made, but after 10 months of use (in a Nas) the first HDD has defective sectors (90). Fortunately they are guaranteed for 5 years.
