Here's a handy kit if you don't want to end up with a super ssd that coughs when it's too hot!
It's quite strange these kits are based on... rubber bands !!! But it works for a while (yes, a rubber band on a radiator, after a while when it's cooked well over time, well, it breaks... but it's not too serious, the heat has also stuck the radiator to the layer of thermal paste so it stays together... :)
Well it's very well done, the installation is simple and it's just right for an Sd 2280. I installed it on a 1 to crucial M.2 and nothing to complain about.
The product is certainly of good quality but the "installation manual" provided is obscure and in English only. Well, you don't have to have done maths to put a rubber band around a radiator (depending on the size of the radiator) but when you've never used this kind of product you can end up making a mistake.
Does the job perfectly on the side.
Easy installation on a Samsung 970 EVO plus 250 GB. The multilingual instructions are not very clear (very small characters and rough translation). Some of the silicon pads are not used for mounting on a motherboard, so it is normal if you have some parts left over in this case (other mounting possible on a daughter PCI card). The SSD even near the graphics card and CPU fan does not exceed 50°C at full load in summer. This is about 8 degrees cooler than the bare SSD.
It's a product that I finally relegated to a small M2 sata SSD mounted on a USB adapter.
Due to the slightly elastic plastic strip removal system, and the lack of a backplate, I didn't feel confident putting it in my PC with an NVMe SSD.
The design of the drive is such that it is meant to be mounted on a PCIexpress adapter card on the mounting documents, hence the lack of a backplate.
The 3 stars are for the elastic band as a mounting system.
