Overview

The hybrid for all nature lovers

The Panasonic Lumix G9 is the perfect companion for wildlife photographer Joakim Odelberg, offering breathtaking results. Always at your side, this hybrid adapts to any situation and captures every moment with splendour, thanks in particular to its 20.3 megapixel Live MOS digital sensor without low-pass filter. The G9 is precise yet comfortable and intuitive to use, with DFD-Auto focusing and advanced tracking performance. You'll appreciate the 6K Photo function, the ability to create 4K video at 60p/50p, and up-to-date connectivity with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Lumix G9's impressive day-to-day performance makes it ideal for all discerning photographers and nature lovers.

To accompany it, theLeica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm wide-angle standard zoom lens works wonders! Ideal for landscape and portrait photography, this intermediate focal length lens provides a clear view of the entire image. Designed for reliable use even in adverse weather conditions, this practical, high-quality lens allows you to meet all your photographic challenges.

Fearsome precision

The Lumix G9 is a camera full of innovation and delivers incredible still images. It boasts a 20.3 megapixel Live MOS digital sensor with no low-pass filter, so you can shoot your subjects as accurately as possible.

With DFD-Auto Focus and Burst Mode, there's nothing between you and what you're shooting. With advanced tracking performance, 20 fps in Continuous AFC mode, focus locks in just 0.04 seconds and tracks motion continuously. You make the most of those opportunities that appear and disappear in the blink of an eye.

Play it spontaneous

When you don't have enough time to set up your tripod, handheld shooting is the only option. Dual I.S. (5-axis 6.5 F-Stop compensation) means there's no compromise in image quality. This allows you to be spontaneous in the field, no matter what you're shooting.

The large 0.83x OLED viewfinder (with a frame rate of 120 frames per second) offers total control and simplifies even the most difficult set-up. With three magnification modes, you can be sure that your picture will be in perfect focus.

The importance of detail

For shooting nature and taming the unpredictable, the 6K Photo function captures the unexpected by shooting a sequence of 30 frames per second, then extracting the best shot as an 18 megapixel JPEG.

If you're looking to shoot larger images, then High Resolution mode is for you. You can shoot Raw + JPEG up to 80 MP. This gives you incredible image depth and detail.

Always at your side

When you're shooting in tough environments, reliability is crucial. That's why the Lumix G9 has been designed to withstand freezing, splashing, dust and a range of other harsh conditions. And when it comes to features, it offers everything you need and more: USB charging, two SD card slots with high-speed UHS-II / V90 card accounting, joystick, LCD status and a large ergonomic grip.

    A great device

Bought to succeed my canon 700D, and after a long search, I decided to buy it.
The panasonic dc-g9 is a real gem. Excellent in photo, and perfect in video (even if it is not its primary role) it fills all the defects that had my 700D despite the range of lenses that I had.

It's an expensive purchase, but for a professional or an enthusiast it's a safe and viable investment.
The quality of the materials and the camera itself is a great asset for a resident of the DOM (especially in rainy weather).
