Tamron 's SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 telephoto lens has been developed to deliver superior optical quality to match the latest high definition DSLR sensors. It features a number of improvements including faster and more accurate AF and an even better VC stabilisation system. Other features include "FLEX ZOOM LOCK", fluorite front lens coating and the ability to use multiple teleconverters. The new lens offers unique performance and a high-end SP exterior with a metallic barrel and enhanced design.
Sharpness and precisionThree LD (Low Dispersion)lenses completely eliminate axial and transverse chromatic aberrations. The formula now consists of 21 elements in 13 groups, and the optical results are stunning, both in terms of sharpness and detail. Further improvements extend the versatility of this lens. Tamron's engineering has made it possible to reduce the Minimum Focusing Distance (MFD) to 2.2m, which opens up the wonderful field of telephotography. The Model A022 is equipped with a USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) motor with a ring motor that delivers impressive response time and control. The autofocus speed is significantly improved and allows precise high-speed focusing on moving subjects. |

Excellent stabilityThe VC Image Stabilizer now provides a 4.5 stop gain according to CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) standards when set to "VC MODE 3". The A022 now has three stabilisation modes to suit different photographic situations. The first offers a perfect balance between viewfinder stabilisation and image stabilisation on the sensor. The second is dedicated to panning photography. The third one prioritises sensor stabilisation and sets aside viewfinder stabilisation for greater efficiency. |
At ease in all situationsThe front lens is treated with fluorite, a material that repels water and grease. This makes the lens surface easier to clean and less susceptible to damage from dirt, dust and other marks. For better protection when shooting outdoors, numerous seals have been added. The "FLEX ZOOM LOCK" system locks or unlocks the zoom ring at any position by simply sliding the ring. Photographers can shoot from any angle without the risk of inadvertently extending the ring. The familiar "Zoom Lock" system prevents the zoom from extending when folded and when transported. |
