- Advanced, user-friendly graphical interfaces reduce the time required to deploy, troubleshoot, and manage the network. Configuration wizards simplify common configuration tasks and provide the ideal tool for setting up and managing the network.
- The USB port on the front panel of each switch facilitates the transfer of images and configurations for faster deployment or upgrade.
- Cisco Smartports technology provides even more advanced functionality and convenient control. It allows ports to be automatically configured with specific levels of security, QoS, and availability based on the type of device connected and taking into account Cisco best practices and pre-tested configurations. The Auto Smartports feature automatically applies the information provided through the Smartports roles to the port, based on the type of devices detected with Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) or LLDP-MED to facilitate automatic deployments.
- Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP ) provides simple configuration to take full advantage of redundant paths in the network to optimize network throughput.
