Cisco 250 switches are designed to be easy to deploy and use by small businesses and their partners:
  • Advanced, user-friendly graphical interfaces reduce network deployment, troubleshooting and management time. Configuration wizards simplify common configuration tasks and provide the ideal tool for setting up and managing the network.
  • The USB port on the front panel of each switch facilitates the transfer of images and configurations for faster deployment or upgrade.
  • Cisco Smartports technology provides even more advanced functionality and convenient control. It allows ports to be automatically configured with specific levels of security, QoS, and availability based on the type of device connected and taking into account Cisco best practices and pre-tested configurations. The Auto Smartports feature automatically applies the information provided through the Smartports roles to the port, based on the type of devices detected with Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) or LLDP-MED to facilitate automatic deployments.
  • Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP ) provides simple configuration to take full advantage of redundant paths in the network to optimize network throughput.
  • TheCisco FindIT Network Discovery Utility is accessible from a simple toolbar on the user's web browser and allows the detection of Cisco devices on the network. It displays basic information about each device, an inventory of available devices, and firmware updates to facilitate configuration and speed deployment of Cisco Small Business products.

    Fan makes a lot of noise.

    This switch is very noisy, if I had known, I would have taken 2 10 ports switches much less noisy. I will gladly change it;
