Full RAM compatibility on LGA2011
Thanks to its slim design(52mm) and the fact that it has been specially designed for the LGA2011, the NH-U14S does notdoes not encroach on the area dedicated to RAM modules, offering full compatibility with high memory modules.

Reasonable dimensions
At 165mm high, the NH-U14S is short enough to fit into most of today's high-end cases. At 150mm wide, the NH-U14S guarantees greater compatibility with SLI or Crossfire configurations.

NF-A15 PWM fan
The NF-A15 is a high-quality 140mm fan with a rounded frame that meets the Noctua AAO standard. The NF-A15 pushes back even further the cooling performance for which the famous NF-P14 is renowned.

PWM compatibility and Low Noise Adapter
The NF-A15 140mm fan features automatic PWM speed control. To further reduce noise emissions, the maximum speed can be capped at 1200rpm(instead of 1500rpm) by using the Low Noise Adapter(L.N.A.).

Compatibility with old and new sockets

Warning: because of its large dimensions, the fan may protrude into the first memory slot or the first PCI slot on some motherboards (particularly for formats smaller than ATX). A minimum ATX motherboard is therefore recommended for installation of this model. In line with Noctua's policy of providing its top-of-the-range SecuFirm2 mounting systems free of charge, owners of eligible fan models will be able to order the NM-i17xx-MP78 kit free of charge once the motherboards and LGA 1700 CPUs are available. Proof of purchase (electronic version, photo or scan of invoice) of an eligible Noctua cooler and either a LGA 1700 motherboard or LGA 1700 CPU will be required.
