Perfect board for a 7 5800XT, but with one small problem: the 12V header "LED_C1" does not give a green colour.

I installed it in my new PC with a ryzen 7 3700x without flashing the bios, it also detected my USB stick containing Windows 10 straight away without having to fiddle with the bios.
I've been using it for 3 months (bought it in September 2022) but after an error on my ram bars when I went to the BIOS it only detected 8gb out of the 16 installed, the pc randomly freezes, either at boot time when I have no image, or a few minutes after opening the system. I had to reattach the bars, which were not well inserted. The result is that when I restarted the computer after checking that all the cables were properly connected, the motherboard doesn't turn on anymore, there is no image on the monitor, and I can't even check if my hard drives are intact or not...
With the original BIOS, the card does not recognise the Ryzen 5800X. So you have to update using Q-flash plus and it's not as easy as Gigabyte claims. It took several attempts to finally get the latest BIOS loaded from the USB stick.
Then the CPU is recognised and the BIOS settings can begin.
Fun fact: a pair of Patriot PC4-28800s (not approved by Gigabyte) do not exceed 2666 MHz despite XMP2.0 and all imaginable tweaks to the A1/B1 slots. They instantly switch to 3600 MHz without intervention on A2/B2.

All in all, a good, stable card full of possibilities to be seen over time.
I chose this motherboard following the death of a 2019 MSI X570 Gaming Plus, and I chose it because the vrm's are advertised as quality, unlike the MSI. For now it does the job perfectly, we'll see in time!
So it's a nice experience and discovery: modern: pcie gen4 for the pcie x16 and 1 of the 2 M2. This was a selection criterion for me. 2 Nvme M2's, 1 with a heatsink provided (the gen4 one). A modern bios, rgb (discrete), and also a USB-c connector which was another prerequisite for me. This card has everything you need for a quality, high performance, yet affordable setup. Coupled with a 3700x and a 3070 I am very happy with this CM.
Works perfectly, both my M.2's are detected unlike the MSI CM I had before.
No worries about compatibility with my 3060 and 5600x and crucial ballistix ram.
The LEDs are nice, and pair well with my Aorus graphics card and case fans, all controllable from RGB Fusion.
Gigabyte is really a surprise as you don't hear much about them but I am happy with all their products from motherboards to graphics cards to mouse pads. Even their displays (G27Q) are top notch at a reasonable price.
Very good card, no problems with a 5800x and an RTX 3080. My Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 MHz RAM was well detected and the XMP works. The BIOS is easy to use, the Q-Flash which allows to update the BIOS without a processor works very well. Note that you have to update the BIOS to put an AMD Zen3.
The position of the screw holes means that some of them are not easy to screw in with the cooling unit mounted.
I ordered this part for my work computer ( I'm a developer ), I was going to put Linux on it but at the time I'm writing I'm on windows because I don't have the time ( I have to work ) to research more than that but whether it's the latest from Ubuntu, or Manjaro the Linux distribution I've tried doesn't detect the Ethernet port directly from this card. I suspect that with more knowledge (or time) it is possible to get it to work but I chose to switch to Windows and wait for the next kernel update.
The LDLC service is great.
I bought a CM Aorus B550 + Ryzen 5 3500X + G.skill Flare X kit.
I had asked LDLC for advice before buying and trusted the technical information and opinions of the site.
Result nothing, waiting for technical support from Ldlc and Gigabyte!
A good inert config at the top!
Nothing to report, this motherboard was easy to install and has everything I needed in it, knowing it was my first time assembling a PC. We start again on good bases!
As a bonus, it has a nice look and it looks solid.
