Hard drive bought for 229,95€ in 2025, 359€ today in July 2026. Ridiculous!
Nothing to report on these two drives that I placed in a NAS. They are a little noisy but I chose them for the price and performance (on the good advice of my LDLC salesperson).

For more than 15 years I have been using WD, and today due to a stock outage I’m falling back on a Seagate, and 10 days later the Seagate is HS. No comment.
No installation problem on my Synology NAS.
The read speed of these 5400 rpm drives is sufficient to read MP3 and video files and access my office files without delays.
We'll see in a few years if reliability is there.
The price is high, and it's even higher now, thanks to the AI crisis, but otherwise it works well as expected.

One of my hard drives failed. I was looking for a NAS drive for my Synology that I bought from LDLC at a good price.
This drive is compatible with the Synology NAS brand. You do need to be careful because Synology support told me to replace the previous one which was not compatible. With this one, no issues.
Lack of space, so new purchase to set up a new mirrored pool with Western Digital.
The hard drives are mounted in RAID 1 on my new NAS, mainly for storing my photos. I chose this shop in Montigny because of its proximity and the condition of its stock. Efficient service and quick purchase.
I really don't have anything special to say about these hard drives. I am currently using them in my Synology NAS. No problems with installation, no problems with use. I can only recommend this product.
Once installed in two hours, the NAS volume was operational again. The system had predicted six hours!
Not much to say about hard drives, so the 5 stars are for LDLC: basket prepared online, order placed in store and available quickly despite the period (between Christmas and New Year's Day) and, above all, hard drives packaged securely, well protected from the hazards of transport! Well done!
8TB at a fairly reasonable price. I bought four for my NAS. They work very well. They are just a little noisy when the NAS accesses them at full speed.

After trying two Iron Wolf Pro drives, I decided to test this version, also with 4 TB. What a disappointment! Whereas the Pro versions offer a consistent 210 MB/s for large transfers (70 to 100 GB AV files), the standard versions reach 200 MB/s for 5 seconds and then fluctuate between 90 and 110 MB/s! A considerable waste of time for a few dozen euros in savings!
With excellent performance and low noise levels, IRONWOLF drives offer excellent value for money!
Very good hard drive with large capacity!
It's true that it sometimes scratches and you can hear it!
But I think that's because it's a NAS-oriented hard drive at 7200 rpm!
I put it in an external enclosure for backup, but be warned, it's thick,
so it was difficult for me to fit it into the enclosure's SATA port without a bit of fiddling!
I ordered it two weeks ago, just before the crisis, so I got both RAM and HDD/SSD, which was perfect. Phew, lol!!!

I bought 3 disks and have been using them for about 1 month in a QNAP TS-463 NAS. Product as expected, no faults to report at the moment.
With space and performance at a relatively low price, this drive is perfect for my NAS. What's more, it's quite quiet and didn't cause any problems when I integrated it into my Asustor NAS. So far (after 3 months of use), there have been no faulty sectors on any of the 4 drives ordered.
A hard drive designed for massive storage. Quiet, reliable and suitable for continuous use with a very decent throughput for an HDD. Perfect for archiving your data, games, media, etc.

Following a NAS replacement (DS414 to DS923+), I installed IronWolf 4TB.
Faulty sectors appeared after 3770 hours of operation on one of the 4 Seagate IronWolf 4TB drives (ST4000VN006). Even if this can happen, it's a bit early compared to my old Western Digital Black SATA 1TB drives (WD1003FZEX), which after 66748h of operation don't give me any alerts and are still working as a data backup for the main NAS.
I think that at the first serious problem, I'll go back to Western Digital.
Ordering a hard drive by mail order can still lead to unpleasant surprises.
But here, thanks LDLC, none at all. Well received, well packaged, functional product, all that's left is to use it!

They are super confusing!
During the creation of raid 1, it was relatively noisy and took about 9h to create raid 1.
They are good hard drives, I don't have much else to say at the moment.
For insertion into an Asustor AS3302T NAS, no difficulties and impeccable operation - no problems encountered.

Used as a backup for a RAID-synchronised NAS, it was fast enough to copy 3.3 TB in 1 day and 7 hours 40 minutes via USB.

Up until now I've been using these drive models in my NAS, so naturally I recommended the same ones to extend my storage space.
The first one I received rattled and made worrying noises on start-up, and was never recognised by the NAS. I put this down to a transport problem (the disks aren't protected much when they're shipped...).
The replacement drive was recognised, but after integration into the existing volume, the drive is no longer recognised by the storage manager and beeps on start-up (it doesn't spin up).
I'm relying on LDLC for a new exchange, perhaps for another brand ...
To stay within a relatively modest budget, I chose mechanical disks. I don't know if the future will prove me right in terms of lifespan, but I don't seem to have any problems in terms of useful access time.

Having already had a ds215j which worked well for ten years with 2 wd disks, I renewed this set with 2 seagate disks. So far so good and the installation went well.
We'll see in the future, but I'm confident!

Bought to replace a disk on my NAS which had just failed, has been working non-stop without a hitch since mid-November.
Very fast delivery.
HDD very well packed to avoid any risk of shock.
After 4 hours of copying with the LDLC Dual Dock QS cloner, here is a new disk in service.
Finally independent of the Cloud, all my media are backed up at home (2 iPads, 3 SmartPhones, 3 Computers running W10 & W11).
At WEB storage prices, the product pays for itself in 6 months in my configuration.
I came without being convinced, but I left very happy with the service. Competent and educational team!
RAS responds brilliantly to all requests, in particular cloning and partirions adjustments.
