These headphones really do the job, despite a problem with sound equalisation on the first pair I exchanged.
I was looking for a headset with a headband that didn't make my head hurt, and I was happy with this one. The sound is excellent with both sound configurations, but the microphone degrades over time with cuts when you speak and random sound pick-up.
The level of finish is good, but the headset is too small and is painful to wear over time, I fell back on the G pro X (wireless) from Logitech which is a little more permissive but not adapted to my morphology either.

Excellent headset, fits very well on the head without being too tight; pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of the USB, and the function of alternating directly by rocker between game and chat sound is not negligible in terms of making life easier.
I've been using these headphones for over a year now, and I still haven't found any negative points!

After that, it obviously has a price, but for a wired headset that you don't intend to move around too much (although you can carry it with a jack cable provided), it's surely the best at this price.

The headphones are comfortable (foam++) and relatively light, the audio quality in and out is very good.
The headset itself is really excellent, but the software part could be greatly improved. After a lot of research to try and just turn off the "tinsel" aspect that can quickly get you or someone next to you drunk, I finally found it so here, for future buyers, are TIPS for configuring it:
* RGB fixed or off:
You have to configure the 3 colours between which the RGB alternates with the same colour (copy and paste the RGB code of this colour), to turn it off set these 3 colours to total black. There could just be a "turn off RGB" button
* Ubuntu/Linux :
the headset is recognized and works, even the potentiometer on the wire to mix microphone and audio (it works thanks to free software volunteers who did the work for the manufacturer). However, I couldn't find any solution to configure the RGB from linux. Fortunately the headset remembers its last RGB configuration. So if you set it up under windows, it will keep it when you come back under linux.
* Turn off the red LED on the microphone:
The red LED on the microphone is active with the microphone off and vice versa. The only solution is to use the micro-usb/jack extension to plug in the headset.
Other software quirks : the language of the software is not adjustable, it takes all by itself the Windows regional configuration, it is thus necessary to change it and restart to change the language of the software. As I am in local Japanese conf, but FR language, I found myself with a Japanese software.
For all these software problems, I take away 2 stars.

The software (not included) has thousands of ways to adjust the colours, except for having a fixed colour or turning off the RGB. The only way I've found (on my own as it's not documented) is to use the supplied mini-usb/jack cable extension to plug the cable into the headset, which makes the mic inactive but at least you're not in tinsel mode. Other software quirks, the red LED on the mic is on and the mic is off and the software language is not adjustable, it takes the Windows regional config by itself, so you have to change it and reboot to change the software language. As I'm in local Japanese conf but FR language, I found myself with a Japanese software.
The headset itself is very good: good sound quality and microphone, light weight, very comfortable even when worn for a long time, very long cable, pot on the wire, activate/adjust the volume of the microphone on the headset. Comfortable to use lying on the bed.
If you could disable the RGB and still have the microphone it would be perfect.
Already the object is great, RGB, light on the head and comfortable. For the headset it deserves 10/10.
The 7.1 surround is pretty amazing! But still, you shouldn't expect the 7.1 surround quality of a recent cinema. Of course you're going to tell me... it's like a PC graphics card vs a laptop graphics card, it's a graphics card anyway, but not the same conditions! So the 7.1 surround is great but the sound coming from the back is hard to really hear from the back, it comes in a bit low but hard to tell if it's really in the back, unless I've set it up wrong on my PC!
At the same time the only way to get a real sound from the back would be to have a bar in the neck, and that's not seen yet...
Anyway, still very decent for the price! I recommend it! :)
Nothing to say, the microphone is great, a fly passing by, it detects the sound of wing beats. The headphone cover is nice and the headphones don't strain the head too much. Return after one month of use.

I was looking to replace my old worn out Razer Carcharias that I was only using for gaming. I actually wanted to buy a new one because it suited me well.
However, Razer no longer sells the Carcharias.
I was looking for a long time because I absolutely wanted textile pads, and especially not in otter skins, a decent sound and an adjustable headband system... all for a reasonable price.
And I found it! This headset has all the qualities I was looking for:

EDIT: The headset is often not recognized by the official software. And above all, there is no button to disconnect the headset, even on the dungle. You have to unplug the usb to switch back to speaker. Even with soundswitch it regularly fails. It's a shame, I won't be recommending this headset again. I still recommend LDLC though.
Perfect for games at a decent price. Good headset for games without major flaws. I'll have to see with six months of use to judge its robustness.

What can I say? This headset is well worth the price, the sound quality and microphone are perfect. In addition to that, the retractable microphone fits in and out of its compartment without difficulty.
Various functions on the side of the headset (activate/deactivate the microphone or turn down the sound in the headset output) make this a very good headset.
The headphones are delivered quickly and in a good, well-protected package.

After ordering and sending back the arctis 3 bluetooth which was not at all suitable for the PC (not to mention the feedback problems in the microphone when the headset was muted...). The Arctis 5 is really TOP TOP TOP and yet I was on a Logitech G633 before. The sound is excellent if you take the time to adjust it properly in the Steelseries software. No problems with the microphone either. The voice is very clear, discreet when not in use, and can be stored in the headset. For the price, look no further!

The helmet is very comfortable to wear with its well padded ear pads. The upper headband is rigid and non-adjustable, the adjustment in relation to the head is done by an elastic band with velcro which increases the comfort. Wearing it for a long period of time does not leave any pain on the head.

It's a great value for money for a headset that offers so many possibilities. Can be used with the USB port or jack via an adapter provided. The only drawback is the proprietary plug on the headset.

This headset is a marvel, you put it on your head and you almost forget it's there because it's so light and yet everything looks very solid and well made.
It's extremely comfortable to wear and the software that comes with it allows you to play around with the RGB lighting as well as all the other options such as the equalizer or surround sound.

This headset is great! It's comfortable, the sound is great and the mic really does the job. The RGB is nice, although you can't see it when you play, but it's a nice touch :)
Wearing glasses, I found the headset to be very comfortable and I didn't feel any pain even after several hours of use. The cable is long enough without being too long and the microphone is correct. The top of the headset can be adjusted for those with a large head. The Steelseries Engine 3 software allows me to change the different colours of the headset and animations but I can also change the sound with the equalizer, so I was able to add a little more bass and treble to have a sound that suits me for music. The 7.1 sound can be switched on and off from the software too.
The sound quality is impeccable (and adjustable with the SteelSerie Engine application)

But it is especially for the quality of its microphone that it is great!
